The Floods of Central Europe

In August 2002 floods battered eastern and central Europe cutting through great historic cities and their treasures as well as mauling industry and farming communities alike.

The floodwaters undermined foundations of the great medieval houses in Prague (in the Czech Republic), and devastated the palaces of Dresden.
